Speaking as an artist, the things that would help artists thrive are things like universal healthcare, affordable housing and robust public transportation, perhaps even some sort of UBI. It’s hard to make art when you have to spend all your waking hours working to survive and pay for housing, food and medical bills. This is largely why most artists tend to be liberals.
I’ve been trained in the Classical tradition and have had patrons. It’s still not enough to live on and I’m grateful for a two-income house.
